Man charged following four attacks on women

A man has been charged in connection with four separate incidents where women were sexually assaulted or raped in Greater Manchester.
Adam Downworth (born 15/12/81) of Lenham Towers, Stockport, has been charged with attempted rape, four counts of sexual assault, sexual assault, two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent and attempted grievous bodily harm with intent.
He is due to appear at Stockport Magistrates Court on 15 January 2013.

In the early hours of Sunday 1 July 2012, a 27-year-old woman was raped and assaulted near to Debdale Park in Gorton. She suffered serious facial injuries.
At 1.50am on Saturday 12 May 2012, police were called to Tan Yard Brow in Gorton. A 22-year-old woman had been subjected to a sexual and physical assault and had her mobile phone stolen as she walked home alone. The woman suffered injuries including a fractured cheekbone.
At 1.25am on Sunday 1 April 2012, police were called to Borrowdale Road in Stockport, after a 26-year-old woman was sexually assaulted and had her bag stolen by a man as she walked home alone.
At 2.50am on Saturday 3 December 2011, police were called to Alexandra Park in Edgeley, Stockport after a 28-year-old woman was sexually and physically assaulted by a man as she walked home alone.
Downworth was previously charged on 19 September 2012 in connection with the rape of a woman in Bredbury.
He appeared at Stockport Magistrates Court on Wednesday 19 September 2012 and was remanded into custody.
Shortly after 1.15am on Sunday 16 September 2012, police were called to George Lane at the junction of Old Bank Close. A 48-year-old woman had been raped and assaulted.
