Dean Mayley named as Greenford murder victim

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Greenford and detectives are appealing for witnesses and information.

Police were called at around 1720hrs on Friday, 7 February, to reports of a man stabbed in Ruislip Road, Greenford.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the victim was taken to St Mary’s Hospital where he died later that evening. Next of kin have been informed.

The victim has been identified as Dean Mayley, from Northolt.

An incident room is open at Hendon under Detective Chief Inspector Matt Bonner from the Homicide and Major Crime Command.

Enquiries into the circumstances of the stabbing are ongoing.

A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.

There have been no arrests at this stage.
