Crime and criminal justice news from across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Officers are appealing for information following the theft of a plant vehicle from a building site in Runcorn.
The yellow Bomag 120 Double Drum roller is believed to have been taken from the site at Halton Lea Roundabout Junction sometime around 6.30pm on Thursday 12th May.
DCI Paul Taylor said: “Due to the size and weight of tis vehicle we believe that this was a targeted incident as the offenders would have required a trailer to take the vehicle away.
“This vehicle was taken during daylight hours from a site adjacent to one of the main thoroughfares through Runcorn and I’d like to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and believes that they may have seen the vehicle travelling through the area.”
Anyone with any information in relation the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 935 of 12/5/2016. Information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
101 is the number to call when you want to contact your local police in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland – when it’s less urgent than a 999 call.
