A teenage boy found guilty of manslaughter following the death of a man in Kilburn last November has been sentenced.
The 14-year-old boy from Willesden was found guilty at the Old Bailey on 11 May of the manslaughter of 21-year-old Haile Langa.
He was sentenced on Friday, 17 June, to seven years’ youth detention.
On Thursday, 5 November 2015 police were called by the London Ambulance Service at around 14:40hrs to Watling Gardens, on Shoot Up Hill, NW2 following reports of a man suffering from a stab injury.
Officers attended and found the man – later identified as Haile. Despite the efforts of emergency services, Haile was pronounced dead at the scene at 15:06hrs. A post-mortem examination found that he had died from a stab wound to the chest.
